United Methodists believe that extending the care of Christ to everyone we’re able is key to living as Jesus expects.  This desire to include should be deeply-rooted in us, emanating from the inclusion we’ve received from God.  As such, Lone Oak strives for radical hospitality in the ways we welcome, receive, and nurture guests and members alike.  Some of the ways we do so include:

Visitor and Handicap-Accessible Parking.  Because we want our guests to be taken care of in every way possible, we have designated parking for visitors and persons who are differently-abled in spots near our front door.  If you’re visiting with us, please help yourself to one of these spaces!

Greeters.  Our greeters are ready to welcome you on Sunday morning with a smile and handshake!  They can always be counted on, too, to help you find your way around the building and provide other helpful information.

Nursery Care.  Little ones are always welcome in any of our gatherings!  If, however, nursery care is needed, we have a fully-functional space and attendants at the ready for all of our functions.

Coffee & Donuts.  Every Sunday morning, you’ll find hot coffee and fresh donuts to enjoy in our entryway, alongside casual conversation with others who’ve gathered.  Small bottles of water and boxes of juice are also available.

Mugging Ministry.  We want our guests to know that we value their presence.  So every first-time guest who leaves contact information receives a complimentary church mug and pen as a means of saying “thanks for worshiping with us!”

Nametag Ministry.  To create a warm and friendly atmosphere, our constituents and members wear nametags.  This way even first-time guests can put a name to a face!

Bereavement Meals.  Loss of loved ones is terribly difficult.  As we seek to alleviate some of that burden for our members and those closely connected with us, we offer meals following funeral services.
